Sri Lanka: Palm Sunday bombings

ApricotLawyer

Last Sunday, April 21st, Sri Lanka suffered 8 bomb attacks which took lives of 290 people and left 500 wounded. The prime targets of the attacks were 3 churches, 2 luxury hotels and 1 guesthouse. So far no terrorist group took the responsibility for these attacks, however 13 people have been already arrested. It is important to note the scale (which is the deadliest attack since the end of the Civil War in 2009) and the timing (this happened 5 months after the Constitutional Crisis of last year and on the Christian holiday). So far there are more questions than answers, but there are some facts that we had to share with you.
